a tail of true love
Almost any domesticated pet can be involved in a wedding in some
way, although it is most commonly dogs witnessing their owners' I
dos. Before you get too excited about what role your pets will have,
make sure it is okay for them to take part.
You will need to check with your celebrant and the managers of your
ceremony and reception venues as to whether pets are allowed.
Once you have approval, think about what your pet is best suited to
do. Consider your pet's personality, are they shy and skittish or
confident and well behaved? A well-behaved and trained pet is more
suited to active participation in proceedings.
A dog could perhaps accompany an attendant down the aisle or act
as an attendant themselves, while a guinea pig or rabbit would look
charming curled up on the ring pillow.
Consider hiring a handler to care for and assist your pet on the day
and of course, don't forget to send them off for special grooming in
preparation so they look their best.
You may also like to dress your pet for the event, many retailers stock
doggy clothes or find a company that makes specialised items.
With the right planning and preparation you can have your loyal pets
take part in your special day.
They've been a part of the family for
years and you spend a stack of quality
time with them, so why wouldn't you
want your pet to be a part of your wedding
If you're thinking it's a good
idea to use the impending
nuptials as motivation to get
in shape and increase fitness,
you're right -- it is. However if
you are filled with dread at the
thought of punishing spinning
classes and bootcamp-esque
sessions daily at the gym, then
think again. There are plenty
of fun, social activities that will
have you looking fitter and
feeling brighter in no time.
Dance classes have a twofold
benefit -- you can waltz, jive
and boogie with your partner
to work every muscle in your
body as well as prepare for
your first dance together. Or if
that isn't your thing -- get your
girlfriends together and hit up
some hip hop or ballet classes.
You'll start to see better tone
and fitness in weeks!
This form of exercise is kind of
like dancing, weights and
yoga blended together in
water. Again this is something
fun you can do with your
partner or some friends. The
water provides the resistance
and will help you tone and
strengthen. It's not just for
purple-haired grannies --
anyone can do it.

Remember how fun this was as
a kid? Well it's still fun. Find a
local park or skate park and
have a whiz around with the
girls. It's vital you invest in
safety equipment -- get some
good kneepads, elbow pads,
wrist guards and a helmet.
Better to look a fool now, than
to traverse the aisle later with
before you say i do
